The Samsung team is in Las Vegas for CES 2022, and they’re beginning off the week with some monitor news. We were introduced to the Odyssey G9 monitors by the company, and we’ve been pleased with them. The G9 is a big 49-inch gaming monitor, so Samsung decided to make the Odyssey Neo G8 a little smaller.

Along with the new Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 Mini LED Gaming Monitor, the company also announced a new High-Resolution monitor and a new Smart Monitor. This 2022 monitor portfolio provides the greatest possible working, gaming, and home entertainment experiences.

The Odyssey’s Quantum Mini LED backlight panel with HDR 2000, the Smart Monitor’s do-it-all screen with smart capabilities, and the High-Resolution Monitor’s comfortable ergonomics are among Samsung’s newest displays’ features for high-performance gaming and smart and pro-level aspects. Here’s what the company had to say about these three new monitors in a news release. Also, you can see the Samsung Odyssey G9 Review

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 is the first of these new monitors. This is a 32-inch display with the first 4K 240Hz panel in the world. A 1000R curvature and Quantum Mini LED backlighting are also included.

The small LED backlighting system makes use of units that are 1/40th the size of normal LEDs. The display can deliver up to 2000 pixels per inch of peak brightness in HDR content with 4096 step backlight adjustment thanks to Samsung’s Quantum Matrix and Quantum HDR 2000 new tech.

Dual HDMI 2.1 connectors and a single DisplayPort 1.4 port are also available on the panel. When a connected device is turned on, the Auto Source Switch+ feature changes sources automatically. The CoreSync feature adjusts the monitor’s RGB lighting to match the content on the screen.

The Smart Monitor M8 is the next model, which has a camera that interacts with the Google Duo app. The monitor also comes pre-loaded with streaming service apps, allowing you to utilize it as a smart TV without the need for a source device. It comes with a 32-inch panel with UHD quality and a wireless remote control similar to those seen on Samsung TVs.

Finally, there’s the Samsung S8, which is aimed at content creators. It’s available in 32-inch and 27-inch sizes with UHD resolution, and it’s the world’s first glare-free monitor, according to Underwriters Laboratories.

The S8 features 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification (32-inch only), and wired LAN support. It has USB-C connectivity and can be linked to approved laptops to provide visual and audio signals, as well as Ethernet data and 90W of power, to the monitor.

In the first half of 2022, the Samsung Odyssey G8 Mini LED Gaming monitor are expected to be released. During CES 2022, further details will be presented.
