Apple’s AirPods are designed for use with other Apple products, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use them with your Windows PC. Pairing AirPods with a PC initially isn’t exactly intuitive at first because you have to use the charging case along with the AirPods, but it’s easy once you know the process. Follow these simple steps to pair and connect a fresh set of Apple AirPods with your PC:

  1. Make sure the AirPods are at least partly charged before putting them in their charging case.
  2. Remove the AirPod charging case’s cover (do not remove AirPods from the case).
  3. For a few seconds, press and hold the circular button on the charging case’s backside until the light within the case blinks white.

Click the Bluetooth icon in the system tray to the right of your taskbar to access Bluetooth settings, or search for “Bluetooth” in the taskbar search box and select the “Bluetooth and other devices settings” option when it appears.
