The BoAt has introduced a new smartwatch in India at the best budget price. BoAt’s Xtend smartwatch was introduced in India as part of the company’s wearable range expansion. Every price range is well-represented on the smartwatch market. Everything that you can think of, you can have it. As a result of Covid-19, the demand for smartwatches has also grown. The Spo2 tracker and the heart rate sensor are two of the most significant components of today’s smartwatches. While Oximeters are the only devices you should rely on for precise readings, a smartwatch can provide reasonable results in the absence of one.
BoAt Xtend, priced at Rs 3499, offers all of the features of a basic smartwatch. A built-in Alexa feature offers it an edge over other cheap smartwatches on the market, although Decide for yourself whether or not you want to purchase the BoAt Xtend. Let’s have a look at it in the review. Also, you can see the Fitbit Charge 4: Best Powerful Fitness tracker

BoAt’s Xtend Smartwatch is functional. It has all of the fundamental fitness functions you’d expect from a budget fitness tracker, as well as a nice display, Alexa compatibility, a nice style and quality, and much more. At this price, the smartwatch is pretty nice. The color scheme of this smartwatch is something I didn’t like. However, if the color scheme appeals to you, I would advise you to go for it. Except for the battery life, the watch is excellent in every way. This one has short battery life. The 7-day battery life is claimed, however, continuous use will extend it to 2-3 days. It is an excellent smartwatch around Rs. 5000 provided you can live with the battery life and enjoy the color design. It has all the functionality you’d expect from a smartwatch under Rs. 5000, and more.
- Alexa built-in
- Tracking Your Menstrual Cycle
- Stress Monitoring in Real-Time
- SpO2 Tracker
- Recognize Motion Automatically
- There is no GPS built-in
- It Is Possible To Improve The Design
Design and appearance are always important considerations when purchasing a smartwatch. Other than functionality, style and quality are important considerations when purchasing a smartwatch. This time, the BoAt’s design has been improved, resulting in a more expensive appearance. While the Apple Watch 3 was a major influence on the design, it cannot be directly compared to it. The BoAt Xtend Smartwatch is inferior in every way to the Apple Watch 3. The shape and design of the Redmi Watch and the Amazfit Bip U Pro are the same. The Amazfit Bip U Pro, however, has a higher build quality. Also, you can see the best Fitbit smartwatch in 2021
This BoAt Xtend Smartwatch’s color palette does not appeal to me. It comes in a black hue and with a golden metallic frame. A few years from now it’s possible that the gold hue may fade away. As well as this, there are three more color variations that lack style. That being said, this is just my view of the color palette.
There is a 5ATM water-resistant rating on this timepiece. Quite comfy, thanks to the silicon straps on the back. The straps are of high quality and will be pleasant to wear over time.
Features and Watch UI
This smartwatch has a sleek and intuitive user interface. Power/off and back buttons are located on the same button on the watch. Furthermore, the touchscreen works perfectly. Using the bar menu isn’t difficult because it isn’t animated and the navigation is easy. Though the watch can have some latencies. Due to cost-cutting, the processor may lag a bit, but at the price range, it isn’t an issue. Also, you can see the best Garmin Watch in 2021
Aside from daily activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, stress monitoring breath training, and SpO2 training as well as music management and find my phone functionality, the watch includes all the fundamental fitness functions. This watch also has 14 distinct support modes. A couple of these worked for me. Incoming calls, texts, and other alerts are displayed on the watch in detail.
Download the BoAt Wave app on your phone and link it with the wristwatch to activate it. An intuitive user interface ensures that even a first-time user will have no trouble using the program. A smartwatch is immediately linked to the device after pairing. It offers a variety of watch faces from which to pick, so you may personalize it to your liking. GPS tracking is enabled when you link your watch to the app and turn it on. When you go running, you’ll need to keep your phone close to your wristwatch. The app will tell you the pathways you’ve taken and how many kilometers you’ve logged on your phone. As you navigate the home screen, you’ll see a basic user experience that provides all of the information you’ll need to go through your day.
Feature-wise, the wristwatch has a variety of activity trackers such as a step counter and a swimming tracker. My ability to test all trackers was limited because of pandemic conditions, which compelled me to leave the house. I did, however, keep track of my walking and thought that the watch added a few additional steps to my total. A significant increase in the number of steps I had taken was noted.
In addition to the SpO2 and heart rate monitors, the BoAt Xtend is equipped with a variety of trackers. An essential instrument these days is the SpO2 monitor, which checks your blood oxygen levels. As a consequence of my testing, the SpO2 tracker’s readings were quite reliable. One or two figures were off from what I got from my oximeter. But when I compared it to other smartwatches, all of them had identical readings. A smartwatch and an oximeter are not equivalent in terms of accuracy, although the Xtend came close.

Tracking your heart rate using a heart rate monitor is another important feature. This wristwatch gave results that were on par with those of my other smartwatches, which I have many of. When you keep the Xtend on a surface, it does not track. Xtend only records your heartbeat when the watch is fitted appropriately on your wrist. Pop-up messages remind you to put the watch appropriately to receive the most accurate results from the device. There is also a stress sensor on the BoAt Xtend, but I cannot guarantee its accuracy. When determining a medical issue, this function should not be used at all.

Now, let’s talk about the display. It’s rather bright, even when used outside. The watch’s touch responsiveness is fine most of the time, but it sometimes acts up when you want to cancel a call. To end the call, you may need to press the cancel button twice with force. Graphics and text size are two more things that I thought might have been improved. Most notably on the menu, the font size is too tiny to read. Those who are older, though, may have difficulties reading it. Wasn’t it nicer if it had been more prominent and larger? There is plenty of room on the screen, so larger fonts won’t fly off the screen.
When it comes to BoAt Xtend’s battery, it almost lives up to the company’s boasts. One single battery lasted me precisely one week. I wore the smartwatch all day and just took it off to go to sleep. Even so, battery life was good.
To use the watch, you will need to download the BoAt Wave App. As well as being accessible for both Android and iOS smartphones, the software is free to download. The software is free of problems and functions properly. Connection problems, such as frequent disconnections, haven’t been seen in my experience. BoAt Wave has a clean and straightforward user interface. All fitness-related choices and watch settings are available within the app itself.
It’s Amazon Alexa Support that makes BoAt Xtend stand out from the crowd. A built-in microphone is available on the watch by long-pressing the back button. On the watch, you can only use Alexa to set an alarm, set a timer, and so on. Well, having Alexa on a watch is a nice feature, but you’re not going to find it that helpful. Because it just performs a few simple activities, you’ll probably use it for a day or two out of curiosity, and then you won’t want to use it again. The lack of this functionality won’t be a problem for BoAt.
Accuracy is one of the important aspects that one should take care of when buying a smartwatch. So talking about the accuracy, I tested everything on this watch, from normal walking to running, sleeping, and much more, and I find the results to be accurate.
The results were the same on Realme and Redmi Watch. As a result, accuracy is not an issue. Most inexpensive fitness trackers don’t give me accurate data, but this wristwatch is accurate in terms of fitness monitoring, sleep tracking, and everything else that it can do.
In comparison to the Noise watch we tried lately, this one’s tracking of stress levels and SpO2 levels is considerably more precise. In addition, ladies can use it to chart their menstrual cycles.
A 300mAH battery is used in this model and is said to last seven days. For those who use the watch to its fullest potential, the battery should last two and a half days. You may get 3-4 days out of the battery by keeping it at a low setting. The watch’s battery life bothers me. Magnet hook charging assistance is included.
