Ultralife Corporation has released the XR123A — a new battery in the CR123A form factor for low to medium-rate applications that require a long service life. This compact and lightweight power source is ideal for use in smoke alarms, LED flashlights, digital cameras, and Internet of Things (IoT) sensors.
The XR123A is a primary (non-rechargeable) cell with a voltage range from 1.5V to 3.3V. With a typical capacity of 2,000mAh, its run-time is around 30 percent greater than other CR123A batteries on the market. It also boasts a wide operating temperature range from -20 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius. Other specifications include an energy rating of 6.0Wh and a low weight of just 16 grams. Like Ultralife’s existing battery range, the XR123A is manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
