The Fiil T1 Pro is the best sounding earphone in this list. It comes with a strong mid-bass thump and the sub-bass can dive lovely deep. But it’s the mid-tones that separates the Fiil from the rest: they are clear, prominent and open. Whether it’s guitars, piano, trumpets, cymbals, or vocals from the darkest male ones to the highest-pitched females: they brim with life and texture.
Other features of the Fiil T1 Pro are great too. It’s one of the cheapest options from this list at just $50, it delivers a solid 6 hours of playtime on a single charge and the case can charge via USB-C and wirelessly. What’s more, is that the earbuds are compact and comfortable, and come with IPX5 waterproof rating and ear wings that make them suitable for running and working out even in rain. Call quality is acceptable was well.
The tradeoff of all this, is the noise cancelling strength. While the Fiil T1 Pro rules out some background noise like electronic humming and traffic sounds, it doesn’t do so well in ruling out voices and louder sounds around you. It’s Ambient/ Transparency mode passes through traffic when you need to hear it, but only if you’re listening music on low volumes.

Phiaton BT 100 NC earbuds are worth consideration as well. There aren’t many options, but the Phiaton BT 100 NC gets the job done thanks to the behind-the-neck design.
Thanks to that extra real estate, the Phiaton earbuds manage to pack a little extra punch in the form of NFC pairing, aptX codec support, and an IPX4 rating for water and sweat resistance. While the feature list sounds pretty good, it’s once again not perfect. You won’t get much in the way of battery life, and we found that the noise-cancelling was really not great. Historically, the vast majority of Bose’s noise-cancelling headphones have been on- and over-ear designs, but the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds take the legendary line into the relatively new world of true wireless earbuds. And they do so with great success.
The Bose feel lightweight enough and we have no issues listening for a few hours at a time. For the average commute or exercise session (the QuietComforts are both sweat and weather-resistant) they are great to live with. Battery life is a claimed six hours from a single charge, with the charging case supplying an extra two charges, making 18 hours in total – a decent reserve, but by no means class-leading. And being able to customise some features and controls, and adjust the excellent noise-cancellation, in the companion app is handy.
The sense of enthusiasm and excitement conveyed by the Bose buds is highly infectious. There’s power, poise and a fantastic sense of dynamism. Bass notes sound full-bodied, go deep and the QuietComfort Earbuds squeeze out lots of detail.
All in all, the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are great all-rounders, capable of impressive musicality and topped off with excellent noise cancelling. They’re more than a match for any rival at this level.

Like the Soundcore, the Oppo W51 is convenient for phone calls, both inside and outdoors. Even when there are people talking and accelerating vehicles nearby, your voice sounds loud and above the crowd. What’s more, is that the W51 handles video calls greatly too – it makes you sound clear and loud, which unfortunately is a rare feature on wireless earphones.
The Active Noise Cancelling on the Oppo W51 is convincing. It almost completely rules out distant background sounds like traffic and wind. Nearby voices and volume peaks do come through a bit better than on than on the Soundcore. Also, the Oppo Enco W51 doesn’t have an Ambient Mode. It does come with free app support from the HeyMelody app on Android, however, which gives you the options to update the firmware and change the (limited) controls. There are no fancy equalizers from the app.
Happily, the Oppo Enco W51 sounds good right out of the box. It delivers a warm sound with steady bass that can sound entertainingly deep, has upfront and clear vocals, and well-represented mids – making sure instruments like guitars and the piano sound natural, yet warm. The biggest downside compared to the Soundcore is the W51’s battery life: they need a recharge after 4,5 hours of playtime on a single charge. Still a respectable score
