Pros

  • The design is simple and small, and the construction is of high quality
  • In most esports games, the Geforce MX 450 graphics card provides a steady 60 frames per second
  • For the price, it’s a good display
  • For a laptop, their speakers are excellent
  • Battery life is amazing

Cons

  • The color accuracy of the display is poor
  • In comparison to AMD Ryzen, Intel processors are insignificant

During the past year, Intel has updated its processors more often than ever before, and it is now up to OEMs to incorporate the new chips into their popular products. Among the first few manufacturers to upgrade some of their goods with Intel’s newest chip technology, Lenovo is one of the first. Its IdeaPad Flex 5i, a popular mid-range option, was upgraded to the 11th generation a while back. In addition to the latest Intel processor, this system has some good on-paper characteristics that make it an attractive choice for most people.

What about a student or a casual user looking for a laptop? For this reason, I decided to buy the IdeaPad Flex 5i (Flexible 14″ 2 in 1 laptop) to replace my computer at work. As a result of two weeks of exposure to a journalist’s busy work schedule, here is my full Lenovo IdeaPad laptop review. Also, you can see the best laptops for engineering students to buy

Design

Lenovo’s IdeaPad laptop line is the gold standard when it comes to productivity-oriented computers, in my opinion. To make this budget-friendly laptop more appealing to consumers, Lenovo has sought to incorporate elements of its rugged and functional design into its IdeaPad Flex 5i 14. Lenovo, on the other hand, makes this very boring laptop look good in person. For the deck, it features a beautiful “IdeaPad-Esque” matte layer of paint.  Also, you can see a full review of Dell Alienware Area – 51M R2 Competitive Gaming Laptop

This matte paint is kinder to the skin and makes working for long periods more comfortable. After some time, I’ve also noticed that it’s resistant to dirt and particle buildup. On the downside, the lid is painted with a typical metallic paint, which is notorious for attracting smudges like no other material. I found it difficult to keep the dirt and smudge off the lid. Lenovo may have used that same matte paint on the lid that they used on the deck.

This 14-inch laptop boasts a well-designed keyboard with a separate NumPad, despite its size. The trackpad is rather spacious, but I would have liked it to be a little bigger. In any case, the power key-mounted fingerprint sensor comes as standard equipment. Because the speakers are positioned directly above the keyboard, they provide better audio quality.

Lenovo’s webcam shutter sits in a tiny notch-like configuration in the top bezel. It also has a narrow bottom bezel, something I have only seen on laptops costing a thousand dollars more than the XPS 13. Reflections are greatly reduced because of the matte display.

I did not notice any bend in the deck or creaky panels. Lenovo has managed to cram all the essential ports inside the 1.6Kg body. USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, USB-C Gen 1, HDMI 1.4b, an SD card reader, and a headphone/mic combination are all included. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 are supported onboard.

I think the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 is attractive in general, especially with its distinctive deck paint job and strong construction.

Display

When it comes to laptop screens, having a truly distinctive screen will allow you to get the most out of them. FHD monitor with a resolution of (19201080) pixels. IPS Technology will be used to create the screen, which will allow you to enjoy the highest quality pictures and movies. Also, you can see a full review of the HP Omen 15 Gaming Laptop

IPS technology allows you to see the screen from a variety of angles without affecting the picture quality. Because of its Anti-Glare Display, you can shield your eyes from the undesirable glare of the screen, and with its 250 nits of brightness, you can see images and videos more clearly.

A 90% of the screen surface is covered by the Thin and Narrow Bezel Display. You can now watch anything on it with greater space and wilderness, which allows you to appreciate it more.

In addition, users may now focus on details by using a stylus and a screen together. In addition to operating the laptop with your fingertips, you may experiment with its various functions to maximize its potential. Be sure to utilize it to build anything you want, and to become familiar with its strength and style so that you may gain as much from it as possible!

Performance

Lenovo’s this laptop is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i5 which is the latest generation of the processor in its range and will give you more performance edge while performing any of your tasks and will let you boost the laptop’s speed as it is having a higher clock speed up to 2.4 GHz, the efficiency and performance of the laptop up to 80% which lets you get more programs run simultaneously in it without any performance lag in between.

Graphics of laptop

It is important to have good graphics on a laptop if you plan on creating anything or playing games, but it is not something that should be taken seriously by a typical user. Lastly, you’ll find Intel Iris Xe Graphics in this laptop, which will not affect your performance because this laptop is designed for routine work, which doesn’t require superior graphics. Also, you can see the best gaming laptops you can buy today

Audio

This laptop’s sound experience will drastically alter your viewing experience since the display is linked to the sort of sound you’re hearing on the screen. You’ll get more out of it if you combine immersive screen experience with hard-core screen experience.

Memory and Storage

The RAM, or Random Access Memory, is one of the key components of a computer or laptop that processes all instructions. The laptop’s performance is affected by this. When running typical apps, the Flex 5i has 6GB of DDR4-3200MHz RAM.

Your laptop may have performance difficulties if you’re running a lot of heavy software, but upgrading the RAM to 16GB can alleviate this problem and allow you to run any program on it with ease. If you wish to run heavy software and work on it without interruption, you’ll need to boost the RAM.

On your laptop, you may access your files at any time by storing them in storage. But you will have less storage capacity because of the 256GB SSD. You may adjust that according to your needs.

Battery

The battery determines whether or not you will be able to use your laptop for a longer period. If you do not charge the battery at that time, it will decrease faster. As a result, everyone requires a battery that will enable them to boost their productivity levels and stay in sync with their job for longer periods.

This laptop has a battery life of 10 hours, which means you may practice, work, or do anything else on it for a long period. The battery won’t run out sooner because everything is in one location, and you shouldn’t experience any latency because of the battery.

Its latest Quick Charge Technology will provide you 3 hours of battery backup for a 15-minute charge, which is just incredible. This function allows you to work for longer periods of time without interruption. If you want to get the job done quickly, you can doodle, write or draw on it.
