Pros:
1. Solid construction. Although the casing is plastic, it seems durable and looks aesthetically pleasing.
2. Keyboard feels great. Adequate travel and firm feeling when you press the keys. The backlit multi-color keyboard lights are a nice touch, although they serve no real purpose as far as I can ascertain.
3. The screen so far has been wonderful. Has an anti-glare feature that helps in bright light. Beautiful refresh rate. I’ve read some peoples reviews who make it seem like the screen is subpar, but I have to adamantly disagree. Colors seem accurate and vibrant, and the refresh rate is great as I stated previously.
4. The specs are more than adequate for my needs. It is quick and responsive, booting up takes no time at all and opening programs/apps seems relatively effortless. With multiple tabs and programs operating at once, I’ve noticed very little lag.
5. Also worth noting is, setup was super simple. Before this laptop it had been a while since I had a windows based computer. They seem to give you more privacy options than I remember (although one has to wonder how legitimately they do to secure your user info and not share marketing metrics despite giving you the impression you can disable sharing your info. Time will tell I guess.
Cons:
1. Although this laptop feels durable and robust, it still does leave you wishing it was encased in aluminum or some comparable material. On one hand the plastic feels good enough, but on the other hand it feels a little cheap. For the price though I really can’t complain about this.
2. The trackpad is a bit touchy. If you use two hands to occassionally manipulate the pad, you will notice some alignment issues. You think your finger is right where your last finger was, but in reality it’s not. Perhaps this has to do with the the pad not being directly centered in the middle. It’s hard to explain.
3. Microsoft preinstalled some shitty apps and games that I deleted expeditiously. You may want to do the same.
VERDICT:
This is one bad ass laptop. It’s strong as is, but is also upgradeable in terms of RAM, space and WIFI. If you are looking for a capable laptop, great specs, great screen, and the ability to game, I recommend. It is worth noting, I just received this in the mail 4 hours ago. But so far so good lmfao
The screens great, apart from mediocrity colour reproduction, but a laptop isnt just a screen, what drives the screen is just as important. The gtx1650 and ryzen 5 CPU do an adequet job of driving most modern games into the 90-100fps region at medium settings 1080p. Even though the gtx1650 isnt the most powerful gpu, its enough to see the benifits of 60+ fps gaming in most games, even if some settings may need to be turned down. I would choose 120Hz screen and medium graphics over 60Hz and high graphics anyday; perhaps laptop screens are too small to really notice graphical improvements from medium-high settings.
The model I purchased only has 8GB of ram in single channel. I highly recommend upgrading it to dual channel for improved gaming perfromance- ryzen CPUs love their memeory bandwidth.
Boots times and snappiness are noticeably better than my old non-NVME SSD laptop. In other words the included NVME SSD is plenty fast and really appreciated at this budget price point.
I also added a extra 500GB SSD. Its alot cheaper to add your own extra storage than buying an upgraded everything laptop ($75 vs $300-400)
Everything else is as it should be for a budget gaming laptop- usable keyboard, poor battery life (3-4 hours) average laptop speakers and a mediocre trackpad.
Overall I am very pleased with the laptop, it does what its supposed to do: play videos games. In fact it does it fairly well with a 120Hz screen, and at a budget price point at that! The battery life is bad, the screen doesn't have popping colours like a 2 thousand dollar macbook and its not superlight, but thats not why I bought it, I have an ipad for word processing , watching videos and emails. If you want a solid gaming laptop at an amazing price I cannot recommend anything else- the 120hz screen really is a rarity at this price point.

- 15" 120 hz display - most other laptop selling at $200 more doesn't have this.
- Gtx1650 runs most games well enougH
- You will do well to add on some additional ssd and ddr4 ram at a minimum investment

Set up is easy and there is very minimal bloatware on this machine. Plays most modern games at med 1920x1080 settings at decent frame rates.
Some downsides :
All ports are on the left side.
No SD card reader.
Screen portion of case seems weak and flexes.
Build quality isn't bad but just doesn't feel as "TUF" as I would have expected. For less than $1000 CDN it's acceptable.
Backlit keys are nice. Full RGB colours but only one at a time.
