GT-43004P15024-T3 represents GlobTek’s 150W desktop series family which is also updated to comply with IEC 60950-1 2nd edition or IEC60601-1 3rd edition and has certifications by UL (North America), C-Tick (Australia/New Zealand), IRAM (Argentina), BSMI (Taiwan), CB (Worldwide), CCC (China), Demko (Europe), NRCAN (Canada), Spring (Singapore), SIQ (Europe), GOST (Russia), PSB(Singapore – 24Vo only), ETL (Medical version only), WEEE, VCCI, Saudi, PSE, RoHS China and RoHS 2, EC, cUL, and UkrSEPRO (Ukraine), as well, as now eK (Korea – 24Vo only)!
Addressing high-power consumer or OEM requirements and tough environmental applications, such as portable equipment, instrumentation and other medical devices, monitoring equipment or a source for rapid Li-Ion battery chargers, the GT-43004 family of high power density desktop power supplies from GlobTek is available in versions delivering up to 150W.
The Level-V-rated ITE or 120W Medical-qualified power supplies measure 172.5 x 72.2 x 42.0mm and are available in configurations accepting universal input rating of 100Vac to 240 Vac, 50-60 Hz, IEC 60320/C14 AC Inlet Connector, Earth Ground with a C14 or C6, or available C8 (for Medical version) AC inlet configuration.
Features include a line voltage regulation of ±1%, an output load regulation of ±5% as well, as a very low output ripple noise of 1% p-p and an overshoot of 10% max, 1ms typical recovery time for a 25% step load. These AC-DC converters are also protected against overvoltage and short-circuit conditions. It also has Input line fusing for Input Protection.
“The ability to scale up your power supply size gives you more flexibility in design” according to David Rakovsky, GlobTek’s COO. “You can start with a lower-output model in the family and be confident in the ability to address any increases in power requirements by just moving to a more powerful member of the product family.”
In addition to ITE, Medical grade version (60601-1 certified) power supply also has an input from 90-264VAC 50-60Hz and a factory configurable outputs of 12v, 13v, 13.2v, 14v, 15v, 16v, 18v, 19v, 20v, 24v, 36v and 48v as well, as anything in-between with 0.1V increments with a maximum power of 120W continuous output.
Medical units are certified 2MOPP (means of patient protection) which refers to two independent systems of insulation protecting the patient from dangerous voltages. A single insulating component can get this rating based on extensive testing. 2MOPP certifications exceeds the requirements of 2MOOP and this unit may be used for either application.
The medical grade (60601-1) universal input switching GTM43004P power supply family is available in Class II, 2 Prong input or Class I 3 prong input.
Open Frame and Potted Versions (both UL approved) are also available, along with customized enclosure colors, housing designs, output cord types and lengths, as well as customized packaging.
In addition, ruggedized waterproof and weather proof IP52 version is available upon request. According to BS EN 60529 and IEC 529, IP52 signifies that the medical (60601-1) power supply is protected against dust – limited ingress (no harmful deposit) as well, as protected against direct sprays of water up to 15oC from the vertical. IP52 test report and certification are available upon request.
Potted versions that can be qualified to IP-65 (Ingress Protection) with wire harness for input and output connection are also available.
The module can be supplied with customer-designated output plugs, many of which are stocked at GlobTek’s New Jersey, USA and Suzhou, China locations.
