The 451 Hybrid Power Management System is IEC 60601-1 3rd Edition-compliant. It has a patent-pending power management system that accepts any battery technology and converts the battery’s dc power into ac and dc outputs. Thus, allowing the system to efficiently operate electronic devices without converters, inverters or adapters. To accelerate battery charging, the 451 system provides 450 W to rapidly charge any size battery with 25 A of output, optimizing run times and extending battery life.
Lightweight and compact, this system has mobility for healthcare electronics, providing a minimum 12-hour run time while protecting critical data and ensuring optimum battery life and user safety. The system accepts worldwide universal input power and provides simultaneous 5, 12 and 19.5 Vdc outputs along with a 120 Vac true sine wave output.
Featuring an intuitive display, it ensures the safety of critical patient data, warns the user several times as the battery approaches full discharge, and then performs an orderly automatic shutdown that preserves information.
The system accepts all existing battery chemistries including lithium iron phosphate and sealed lead acid. Safety interlocks protect batteries from outgassing, overheating and failure, while specially designed circuitry isolates and protects both sensitive electronics and the user of the cart. The system provides a real-time estimate of the health of the battery and informs the user when the battery requires maintenance or is nearing replacement. The charging efficiency extends battery life and minimizes the frequency of battery replacement, reducing replacement and recycling costs.
Measuring 3.5 x 6.0 x 10.25 in. and weighing less than 6 lbs without batteries, the system fits easily onto most medical mobile carts and accepts many battery post configurations.
